She was born December 12,1940 in Miltonvale, Kansas to John and Maxine Matson. She married her love, Don Leon Knight, on August 31, 1966. They were married for 55 blissful years.
Sharon lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and worked in the school systems as everyone's favorite cafeteria worker. She and her husband loved to travel and visited 49 out of 50 states! She loved to buy and wear beautiful jewelry. A fun pastime she shared with her daughter-in-love. A farm girl at heart, gardening was also a passion. Her award-winning iris garden was her pride and joy.
Sharon will be remembered for loving her family deeply. To honor the love of her cats, in lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to East Baton Rouge Parish SPCA. Together Sharon and Wayne have five children, Sherry (Teddy) Morse, Perry, UT; Robert Bob Wayne Jr. (Karen) Knight, Riverdale, UT; Barbara (Robert) Hunsaker Wellsville, UT; John Hillard Knight (Cynthia) Clinton, UT; Linda Kay (Gary) Isaacson, Roy, UT, 22 grandchildren, and 46 great grandchildren.
